NEW ISO 16890 RATING!

A coarse-rated panel filter, as defined by ISO 16890, plays a crucial role in air filtration systems by effectively removing larger particulate matter from the air. ISO 16890 is the international standard for air filter testing and classification. This offers a comprehensive and modern approach to evaluating filter performance.

DESCRIPTION

Inter-Coarse panel filters excels in capturing larger particles, typically those 10 micrometers (µm) or larger in diameter. Classified under the “ISO coarse” category, these filters are specifically designed to handle substantial airborne debris. This includes debris such as dust, pollen, and other larger particles, which contributes significantly to maintaining cleaner indoor air.

Inter-Coarse Panel Filters are adept at trapping larger particles (PM10 and above), creating a cleaner environment by removing noticeable contaminants from the air. The Inter-Coarse is highly beneficial as a pre-filter in HVAC systems, safeguarding more efficient filters downstream and thereby enhancing their performance and extending their lifespan.

CONSTRUCTION

Made from robust materials like synthetic fibers bonded to a high-strength beverage board, these filters are designed for durability. In addition, this provides a low pressure drop, ensuring smooth airflow and energy efficiency.

Coarse-rated panel filters are an essential component in air filtration systems, significantly contributing to cleaner air by efficiently capturing larger particulate matter and supporting the overall effectiveness of the filtration process.

We adapted our NATA  Air Filter Test Facility to classify the performance of the existing Inter-Fold Cardboard Panel Filter, by making some slight tweaks to the construction process we have developed the new ISO 16890 Coarse Rated Inter-Coarse.
